I absolutely love this. It’s an entire point of view that has never crossed my path. It is a biblical truth that glides over another to show the gentle, loving side of Christianity on this topic.
You know how you feel when you’re having a great time with fun and exciting people, and you know how you feel when you’re alone and have nothing to do but think. Your aspirations change. The thing that you want most changes. When you’re having care-free fun with those energetic people, you want to have a meaningless relationship with somebody you may never see again. Why? When you’re alone in deep thought, you want somebody to love you. To be held, or to hold. Why can’t you just want somebody to be with you as well as love you. I think this is why we, as teenagers, make so many mistakes in relationships. We don’t understand why we compromise a relationship with what seems like a perfect person. I think we know more of lust than of love. Love is the person that you bring to all the parties. Love is the person that makes it a care-free, exciting, and energetic extravaganza. Everybody needs to have that enjoyment in their life. Maybe we all just need to find our party…
